The Thesildhar of Marakkanam Mrs. Gnanam inaugurated the AIAT computer training course for the fisherman community under the SALT scheme of the Villupuram district.

On Monday, March 2nd, 2020, the Thesildhar of Marakkanam Mrs. Gnanam inaugurated the AIAT computer training course for the fisherman community under the SALT scheme of the Villupuram district. Tiru Vasudev DPO, Thiru Abdul Rahman VAO, and Village Panchayat members Thiru M. Munusamy, Mani, Kathavarayan and Sekar were also present. AIAT was presented by Shri Lavkamad Chandra, Principal, Mr. Arumugam, VP, and Krishnappriya, TNSDC project coordinator. Under this scheme youth of both genders are trained in skills such as beautician, tailoring, 2-wheeler repair, home appliance repair, driving and in data entry operation with accounting and tally.

AIAT has been selected by the initiator of the program Shri Sivakrishnamurthy, Assistant Collector at Villupuram district, to conduct courses in Data Entry operation & Tally. To conduct this course in Mudalaiyarkuppam AIAT has installed 10 computers & inverter for training.

The infrastructure was built by AIAT teachers Sasi Kumar and his studtens (electrical part) and Ravi Shankar (computer part). Mrs. Krishnappriya is coordinating these activities of AIAT.

20 trainees, 12 women and 8 men, are being trained in Data Entry operation over 50 days. Our teacher, Mrs. Vasuki, is taking class.
